Homemade Boat
Wow, it has been almost a year since I have posted anything. That is terrible. I have been wanting to get back into it so I just wanted to post a quick project I did with my twin sons.
They really enjoy watching videos on YouTube Kids. One of the videos they liked is from a channel called Davehax. In the video he made a simple pop pop boat. Here is a link to the video:
The explanation is very well thought out and the instructions are easy to follow. One suggestion I would make is on the straws. The bends in the straws are actually pretty important and that could be emphasized more in the video. The bends help to angle the straws to direct the propulsion behind the boat.

When we did ours the bends in the straw weren't lined up appropriately for insertion in the boat so I think it was restricting the straws a little. Our boat ended up not working but the twins and I had fun doing it and it was a good learning experience.
